With a perfect blend of rhythm, energy, and creativity, the streets are set to buzz with new-age Andalusian music in ways you’ve never experienced before.
Marrakech – On October 26, the Sacré-Cœur Cathedral in Paris will transform into a haven for music lovers as it hosts a groundbreaking musical-cultural event under the theme “The New Synergy in Moroccan Andalusian Music.”
The event, organized by the Moroccan Association of Andalusian Music (AMMA), is set to bring together the best of Morocco’s musical heritage with a fresh, innovative twist.
Supported by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, and in partnership with Casablanca Events & Animation, the “WeCasablanca” brand, and the Loterie Nationale, this concert promises to offer an unforgettable experience.
At the heart of the event is a remarkable collaboration between two musical giants. Mohamed Briouel, a master of Andalusian music, will join forces with rising star Sanaa Marahati, whose creativity and voice have been wowing audiences.
Together, they will create a performance that blends tradition and modernity, honoring the essence of Moroccan Andalusian music while pushing its boundaries.
“This collaboration is a chance to showcase our music in a new light while staying true to its roots,” said Marahati to MAP.
With Briouel’s international reputation for mastering traditional styles and Marahati’s contemporary approach, the concert will explore not only Andalusian music but also “melhoun,” “chgouri,” and other Moroccan genres, reinventing them for today’s audience.
Beyond a mere performance, this event embodies AMMA’s mission: to preserve and promote Moroccan musical heritage, while fostering creativity.
The event marks just one of many initiatives the association has undertaken to ensure the longevity of this cultural treasure, all while inspiring future generations.
