Jaguar has unveiled a vehicle that was supposed to rev up excitement – but instead, it hit a speed bump.

Marrakech – Jaguar’s latest Instagram post unveiling the Type 00 concept car wasn’t met with the applause they might have hoped for.

Instead, it was a sea of comments lamenting the direction the iconic brand seems to be taking.

“It’s disappointing to see such an iconic brand move away from what made it great: heritage, craftsmanship, and a real passion for driving, not ‘exuberance’ or ‘diversity,’” one user wrote, their frustration palpable.

Another added with a touch of bittersweet humor, “Type 00… is that meant to indicate the number of expected sales?” Ouch.

Fans didn’t hold back, reminding everyone that Jaguar was once synonymous with British luxury and unmatched elegance.

But it was a single, biting comment that seemed to summarize the collective disappointment: “Dislike button.” A rallying cry for everyone to tap “like” if they, well… didn’t.

Jaguar’s latest vehicle, officially named the “Type 00” (pronounced ‘Zero Zero’), made its grand debut at a high-profile event in Florida on the first day of Miami Art Week 2024, which started yesterday.

The Type 00 pulls out all the stops with a long, sleek bonnet, a roofline that flows like it’s in a luxury commercial, and – wait for it – a rear window that’s totally MIA.

The butterfly-wing doors? They don’t just open; they lift upward like the car is ready to take flight.

Oh, and there’s that slatted panoramic roof, which seems to scream ‘exclusive.’

And the wheels? Enormous 23-inch showstoppers. But the real shocker is the color – a daring ‘Miami Pink’ satin finish that’s as bold as a late-night confession.

The cherry on top? The classic Jaguar logo has been swapped out for something new, signaling a complete break from the past and a bold step into the electric vehicle (EV) world.
