With its new initiative, the gallery seeks to create a more inclusive art scene by providing visibility and support to artists with disabilities.
Marrakech – The Myriem Himmich Gallery in Casablanca is set to celebrate its third anniversary with a powerful new exhibition featuring Russian artist Alexandra Pronina.
The solo exhibition, opening on Thursday, February 20, at 6 p.m., marks not only a milestone for the gallery but also the launch of its social and humanitarian art program, aimed at supporting artists with disabilities.
Pronina, a deaf artist with a physical disability, has turned to art as a means of expression after losing both of her parents to cancer just a year apart twelve years ago.
Through intricate threadwork on canvas, she creates mesmerizing mandalas and vibrant universes that serve as reflections of her inner world.
Traveling from Moscow to present her work, she brings a deeply personal and transformative perspective to the exhibition.
As part of this commitment, 10% of the sales from exhibitions under the program will be donated to the YANES Association, which promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities through artistic and cultural projects.
The event will also welcome Alexander Sen, the Director and Cultural Advisor of the Russian Embassy in Morocco, further strengthening international artistic ties.
The Myriem Himmich Gallery has long positioned itself as a borderless space for artistic and cultural exchange, where talent and creativity take center stage.
This latest exhibition reinforces its mission, demonstrating the transformative power of art and the importance of fostering an accessible and diverse creative community.
Art enthusiasts and supporters of inclusive initiatives are invited to attend and explore Alexandra Pronina’s extraordinary work.
