Fez — The second edition of “Nostalgia Lovers Festival” delivered an abundance of sing-along acts, playful decor, and throwback flair, immersing 25,000 fans in a retro fiesta celebrating the 80s, 90s, and 2000s in Casablanca.
Nostalgia reigned supreme as an electrifying lineup of iconic artists graced the 40-meter main stage. Thomas Anders of Modern Talking, C+C Music Factory, Lou Bega, Montell Jordan, Las Ketchup, Londonbeat, and Billy Crawford captivated the audience with their timeless hits.
Adding to the excitement, several surprise guests made appearances, further fueling the retro fiesta atmosphere.
The elaborate stage design and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems ensured a truly immersive experience for the 25,000 fans who gathered to celebrate their love for the music of times past.
Each night, the artists delve into their chart-topping hits, creating a vibrant atmosphere where parents, teens, and even curious kids joyfully sang along in unison.
The sound system boomed through the open-air bowl, but the loudest moments came whenever an instantly recognisable chorus kicked off.
Between sets, festival-goers explored 15,000 m² of vintage-themed zones designed by local promoter “Public Events.”
Retro photo booths, flipper machines, and neon-lit arcade cabinets stood alongside pop-up shops selling cassette-style phone cases and glow-stick bracelets.
To further blend the audience with the performers, a daily “best retro look” competition was held, with winners showcasing everything from sequined tracksuits to double-denim ensembles on stage.
Casablanca’s hospitality sector felt the surge. Hoteliers reported near-full occupancy, rideshare apps logged peak-hour spikes, and nearby cafes extended closing times to catch the post-show rush.
City officials praised the organisers for smooth crowd management and highlighted that the festival helped position Casablanca as a cultural tourism hub beyond its business-travel reputation.
The fourth day marked the emotional peak of the nostalgia trip as the Olé Nostalgia brunch reimagined the Vélodrome concourse into an Andalusian feria.
A culinary journey through Spain’s southern region, the Olé Nostalgia brunch offered traditional tapas, paella, and sangria, enchanting attendees with authentic flavors.
Tito Puente Jr. whipped up Latin percussion jams, while Gipsy Five, DJ Temazo, and singer Susana Sanchez Jimenez kept families dancing between tapas stalls and flamenco-inspired photo ops.
