Rabat – The Student Association of École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) Meknès is set to launch the 10th edition of Al Hayat Caravan, a flagship humanitarian and civic initiative, from May 2-4. 

The project targets the remote douars of Izoukkan, Talanizghi, and Aitisha in Azilal. 

The program addresses pressing socio-economic challenges in these rural communities.

Since 2016, Caravane Al Hayat has mobilized engineering students to deliver concrete, sustainable support to rural populations, combining technical expertise with community engagement.

Flagship projects of this edition 

  • TIRYAQ: Free medical consultations and medicines for residents.

  • QATRA: Well construction and solar-powered water pumping systems.

  • IQRAE: Classroom rehabilitation, digital equipment, electrical upgrades, heating installation, and distribution of school supplies.

  • QOFFA & DIFEE: Food baskets and clothing distribution for families.

  • RAHIQ: Beekeeping project to generate sustainable income.

  • GHARS: Planting fruit trees and high-value crops to strengthen the local economy.

  • Mokhayam Al Hayat: Children’s camp combining education and recreational activities.

  • KOTTAB: Renovation of a mosque and two Msid, including toilets construction.

Kick off ceremony

A project presentation ceremony will take place on April 5 at Technopark in Casablanca, bringing together students, experts, and social innovation leaders. 

The event will showcase key social projects, highlighting practical innovations aimed at improving rural life. 

Attendees will also benefit from conferences and panels, offering insights from experienced professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders in social innovation. 

In addition, interactive workshops will provide opportunities for knowledge sharing and mentorship, helping young talents design and implement sustainable solutions.
