Casablanca – Moroccan host and content creator Nadia Haouate has launched a new podcast titled “Karat w Carat,” dedicated to the world of fine jewelry and luxury watches.

Produced by 18k.ma, a platform specialized in gold and high-end timepieces, the podcast hosts experts in the domain to discuss craftsmanship, heritage, and the stories behind luxury creation.

The first episode welcomed Mehdi Filali, founder of the Filali & Filali jewelry house. His conversation blends technical expertise with reflections on the history of the family business.

Episodes will be released weekly every Friday, with the second featuring Ayda Ababou, founder of the Vizira jewelry house.

Rather than focusing only on the aesthetic side of jewelry, the podcast also explores the cultural and historical value behind these objects.

Gold and watches are presented not only as luxury items, but also as products of long-standing traditions and specialized skills.

Each episode features a professional from the industry, which may include jewelers, designers, and other experts connected to the trade.

Through these conversations, listeners gain insight into how pieces are created and what gives them their value beyond appearance.

The program also sheds light on the people behind the craft. Guests share their experiences in the field, the challenges of working in such a competitive sector, and the legacy often passed down through generations.

The new podcast marks another step in Haouate’s growing presence in digital media. She is already known for her ongoing podcast “Déclic Talk,” which takes a sociological lens, centering on the personal stories, struggles, and psychology of its guests.

While her first show has just entered its second season, Haouate is now hosting another show that moves away from the themes she was previously known for.

Through this project, Houate and 18k.ma aim to build a space dedicated to luxury-focused media in Morocco.

It positions itself as a source of thoughtful and refined content for audiences interested in the world of gold and high-end watchmaking.
