Casablanca – The 21st edition of Mawazine will continue its run today with another day of musical diversity, as artists from different backgrounds and genres take over stages across Rabat and Salé.

The day begins at the historic Chellah venue, where Zulu will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., bringing a fusion of jazz and blues to the festival’s most intimate setting.

As the sole performer at Chellah today, the artist will offer a musical atmosphere against the backdrop of one of Rabat’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

The evening then moves to the National Mohammed V Theater at 9:00 p.m., where Egyptian singer Marwa Nagy is set to revisit the richness of Arab classics and “tarab” traditions through a repertoire rooted in the region’s musical heritage.

Later in the night, four concerts will unfold simultaneously at 10:30 p.m. across OLM Souissi, Bouregreg, Salé, and Nahda, each offering a different musical experience.

At OLM Souissi, South African star Tyla will bring her blend of pop, R&B, amapiano, and contemporary urban sounds, representing a new generation of globally influential African artists.

Meanwhile, Guinean artist Djelykaba Bintou will take the Bouregreg stage, adding another international flavor to the evening’s program.

Moroccan rhythms take over Salé and Nahda

The remaining venues will spotlight Moroccan artists, showcasing the richness and diversity of the country’s musical landscape.

At the Salé stage, chaabi rhythms will take center stage with Statia and Tahour, two well-known names in Morocco’s popular music scene.

Their performances are expected to fill the venue with the festive energy and audience interaction that have long defined chaabi music.

At Nahda, two artists from different musical backgrounds will share the spotlight. Nacim Haddad will bring the passion and intensity of Ayta, while Jaylann will offer a contemporary sound infused with Moroccan influences, creating a bridge between tradition and modern expression.

From jazz and blues to “tarab,” amapiano, chaabi, and Ayta, Sunday’s lineup once again reflects Mawazine’s ability to bring together diverse musical worlds.

Across Rabat’s stages, audiences will find a voice, a rhythm, and an atmosphere suited to every taste.
