Rabat – Casablanca will take center stage in African esports from August 27-29 as Morocco hosts the FIFAe Continental Championship Africa 2026, bringing together players from 13 African nations for three days of competition across eFootball Mobile, eFootball Console, and Rocket League.
Rabat – Casablanca is preparing to welcome some of Africa’s top esports talent as the city hosts the FIFAe Continental Championship Africa 2026 from August 27-29.
The three-day tournament will be organized by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games (FRMJE), in partnership with FIFA, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the City of Casablanca, and the African Confederation of Esports (ACES)
Morocco is one of five countries selected by FIFA to host the 2026 FIFAe Continental Championships, alongside Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico, and Portugal.
The continental championships will take place across five continents between August and September as part of the Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026, bringing together players and teams from more than 120 countries.
Casablanca will host representatives from 13 African nations, with eight countries competing in each of the three featured disciplines.
The competition will open with eFootball Mobile on August 27, followed by eFootball Console on August 28 and Rocket League on August 29.
The stakes will extend beyond the continental competition, with teams also competing for qualification spots at the FIFAe World Cup 2026, making the Casablanca tournament an important step toward the global stage
For the FRMJE, hosting the championship is part of a broader effort to strengthen Morocco’s esports sector, support emerging talent, and create new opportunities for players and professionals working in the industry
The partnership with ACES also reflects a wider push to develop African esports through more structured and sustainable competitions, positioning Casablanca as a key meeting point for players, teams, and esports communities from across the continent
