Fez — Miley Cyrus appears ready to leave at least one part of her famous name behind.

The Grammy-winning singer has rebranded professionally as simply “Miley,” dropping “Cyrus” from her social media presentation as she announces her 10th studio album, “Bass Persuades.” The record is set for release on September 18 through Atlantic Records.

The shift began attracting attention when “Cyrus” disappeared from the singer’s online profiles. Her Instagram handle changed to @miley, while her official website moved to mileyofficial.com. A new red-toned portrait accompanied the change, with the singer captioning the image simply “MILEY.”

Rather than issuing a separate statement explaining the name change, Miley has allowed the new branding to arrive alongside the music.

The rebrand quickly led into the announcement of “Bass Persuades,” the follow-up to her 2025 album “Something Beautiful.”

Miley described the new record as encompassing music’s ability to carry listeners through vulnerability, strength, heartbreak, and joy.

“Music takes hold of us,” she wrote while announcing the project, describing the album as touching on the emotional space between a full heart and heartache.

The album contains 10 tracks, beginning with the title song and closing with “Bass Persuades Remixx.”

Other titles include “Let’s Get Married,” “Orbit,” “Aftermath,” “REDLIGHTS,” “Innocent Ways,” and “Snow.” The project also includes two collaborations: Model/Actriz appears on “Different Religion,” while Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow features on “Neon Signs.”

The new record arrives little more than a year after “Something Beautiful,” but its presentation already points toward a distinct visual and musical identity.

Ahead of the formal announcement, Miley had described her next album as a layered love story reflecting where she currently finds herself emotionally. She said the project developed more organically than some of her previous records.
