Marrakech – Egyptian star Sherine Abdel Wahab is gearing up for a major musical comeback, with a new album slated for release this winter.
The project, revealed by renowned lyricist Tamer Hussein in statements to Cairo 24, is expected to mark a fresh chapter in the singer’s career after years of personal and professional turbulence.
According to Hussein, the upcoming album will bring together some of the biggest names in the Egyptian music industry, including composer Aziz Elshafei, and music arranger Ahmed Ibrahim.
The collaboration signals Sherine’s determination to return to the spotlight with a strong and diverse sound.
In addition to the new album, Sherine recently announced plans to release a renewed version of her patriotic song “Ghalia Alina Ya Baladi”, written by Tamer Hussein and composed by Amr Mostafa.
Sharing a message on social media, the singer thanked her loyal fans for their unwavering support, stating, “To my precious audience, thank you for all your prayers and love that reach me everywhere.”
Earlier this month, Sherine issued an official statement confirming reconciliation with Kantoush after a brief public fallout, describing the dispute as a “minor misunderstanding.”
With the upcoming album and renewed focus on her career, fans and industry insiders alike are watching closely to see if Sherine Abdel Wahab can reclaim her place as one of the Arab world’s most beloved voices.
