Fez – Moroccan label Rock The Kasbah Creation is bringing a burst of color to the colder months with a new collection of brocade caftans and statement jackets.

“Winter but make it colorful.” That is the promise behind the new Rock The Kasbah Creation collection, which aims to brighten the season with saturated tones, textured fabrics, and silhouettes that dress up even the simplest outfit.

At the heart of the line are brocade caftans, designed to be as light as they are elegant. The pieces are intended for weddings, evenings out, and any occasion where the wearer wants to stand out without feeling weighed down. “The cut stays pure and deliberately light, so the fabric can take center stage,” explains founder and designer Selma Idbihi. The result is caftans that nod to tradition while embracing a streamlined, contemporary look.

The collection flaunts oversize jackets that instantly add structure to an outfit. Velvet, wool, and bold lining choices turn these jackets into statement pieces rather than simple outerwear.

“We worked with colorful linings and materials like velvet and wool, which give the pieces character,” Idbihi says. “The contrast between the outside and the inside makes each piece unique and alive in everyday wear.” For her, these are “pieces that structure a look without effort and bring instant style, even when worn with something simple.”

From Oumnass to a modern, bold brand

Rock The Kasbah Creation’s story begins in Oumnass, a small village 25 kilometers from Marrakech, inside the family kasbah. “It’s a place full of history, architecture, colors, and life,” Idbihi recalls. Growing up, she watched the women around her wear striking caftans, strong colors, and fabrics that “told a story,” shaping her eye for detail and her love of materials.

The brand, launched in January 2025, is the result of a bold career shift: after studying tourism and completing a master’s in marketing, she worked as an employee for several years before deciding to follow her passion for fashion. “Materials and creation were always part of what I love,” she says. “At some point it became obvious that I had to follow this direction and build something that truly reflects how I see things.”

If there is a signature to Rock The Kasbah Creation, it lies in the fabric selection. “The choice of materials is key,” Idbihi explains. “Fabrics are chosen one by one, and each design is produced in very small quantities. Once a fabric is finished, it’s never reproduced.” That approach ensures that each piece feels rare, personal, and resistant to fast-fashion sameness.

With its new winter drop, Rock The Kasbah Creation positions itself as a label for those who want to dare a little more color, indulge in beautiful fabrics, and claim a strong sense of style — even when the temperatures fall.
