Fez — As the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 kicked off in Rabat on Sunday, two new songs linked to the tournament began circulating across YouTube and streaming platforms.
The first release, “Achkid” (“Come Along,”) brings together Moroccan rap acts H-Kayne, Muslim, and Dizzy DROS alongside singer Chaimae Abdelaziz. The track appeared on RedOne’s YouTube channel in the hours around the competition’s opening weekend.
The second song, “Time for Africa,” credits RedOne with Saad Lamjarred, Inkonnu, and Atif Zinachi. Versions of the track also appeared on YouTube, with a separate audio upload showing a 2101 Records release.
A RedOne-led soundtrack moment
In the credits shown on the releases, RedOne is listed as producer on both songs under 2101 Productions. “Time for Africa” also credits Atif Zinachi as co-producer, with studio work tied to Dubai.
On social media, RedOne framed “Time for Africa” as part of an official AFCON 2025 album project.
Two collaborations, two directions
“Achkid” leans on a Moroccan rap lineup that has shaped the country’s mainstream hip-hop for years, while adding a vocal hook through Chaimae Abdelaziz.
“Time for Africa” shifts toward a wider pop blend, driven by Saad Lamjarred’s star power and a cross-border collaboration with Inkonnu and Atif Zinachi.
The timing is not accidental. AFCON 2025 officially opened in Rabat on Sunday, placing Morocco at the center of a tournament that often pairs football with large-scale cultural programming.
