Rabat – Under the slogan “Ramadan Brings Us Together,” MBC5 is rolling out an ambitious 2026 programming slate designed to own those sacred post-iftar hours.

Announced from Riyadh on February 5, the channel’s new grid blends Moroccan originals, major Arab hits, feel-good comedies, and interactive entertainment.

Let’s start with the heavy hitters.

One of the season’s flagship dramas is “Al Hayba Ras Al Jabal,” a Moroccan fresco wrapped in tension and power plays. The story follows Yasmina, who returns from Canada to bury her husband, only to find herself trapped in the closed, unforgiving world of Ras Al Jabal.

Forced into a marriage of convenience with Lil, the head of a smuggling empire, she fights to protect her son and secure their future. Starring Asaad Bouab and Hiba Bnani, the series dives into family feuds, shadow economies, and the quiet brutality of power structures that play by their own rules.

If emotional intensity is your Ramadan ritual, the second season of “Rahma” is also back. After making waves last year, the social drama continues Rahma’s journey through personal dilemmas, unresolved wounds, and fragile solidarities.

Led by Sanaa Akroud and Abdellah Didan, the series leans into the complexities of human relationships, because sometimes the hardest battles aren’t loud, they’re internal.

But Ramadan isn’t only about tears and tension. It’s also about laughter echoing through the living room.

“Imarat Assa‘ada” is a daily sitcom set inside a lively apartment building where residents from different social backgrounds collide in the most delightful ways.

With Sakina Darabil and Kamal Kadimi leading the cast, the show promises sharp humor, everyday absurdities, and the kind of scenes that feel a little too familiar, like your own neighbor, but scripted.

On the Arab series front, MBC5 is banking on big names and loyal fan bases. “Al Maddah Ostourat Annihaya” returns for its sixth season, with Hamada Helal reprising his role as Saber.

This time, the character faces his most intense inner confrontation yet, as past and present collide in a storyline built on suspense and spiritual struggle.

Meanwhile, “Al King,” starring Mohamed Imam, dives into the tangled rivalries of three brothers inheriting a shadowy empire.

This is about family tension, criminal entanglements, and cliffhangers that make you reconsider going to bed “early.”

And because no Ramadan grid is complete without food and fortune:

“Chhiwat Ramadan,” hosted by Ilham Bou‘aid, returns with daily culinary inspiration, spotlighting Moroccan flavors and fresh ideas for ftour tables across the country.

For viewers who prefer adrenaline over almonds, “Cash Ala Al Hawa” with Rachid El Idrissi offers daily interactive games and cash prizes, turning ordinary evenings into potentially profitable ones.

All programs will air exclusively on MBC5 throughout Ramadan, reinforcing the channel’s ambition to dominate one of the most competitive, and emotionally charged, television seasons of the year.
