Rabat – In mid-2025, after all members completed their mandatory military service, the seven BTS members reunited in Los Angeles to start a new chapter in their career.
In their first full-group interview since their 2022 hiatus, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook revealed that they are living together again and following a strict schedule: morning workouts, followed by studio sessions from 1 p.m. until evening, all in search of what RM described as the “golden piece” within their new album, “Arirang.”
One of the most controversial moments in the interview referred back to a Weverse livestream by RM, where he admitted thinking “thousands of times” about disbanding BTS before their return.
“The personal pressure was enormous. I couldn’t sleep, and I kept thinking: would it be better to split or take a longer break?” he said.
Jimin called RM’s words “a love language toward ARMY,” while V described him as “the band’s identity and heart,” emphasizing the intense pressure RM carries compared to the rest.
The members admitted they hadn’t watched the full livestream, only short clips, because “watching each other live is strange,” as Suga explained, adding, “We’re like brothers.”
Away from the spotlight, BTS members had very different military experiences, from training roles for Jin and J-Hope, to special assignments for V, and public service for Suga due to a shoulder injury.
Suga proudly said he was never late, always arriving ten minutes early, and noted that the routine changed how he approaches music.
Jimin described the experience as “extremely hard… I wanted to cry,” but stressed its importance in understanding society from a different perspective.
