Rabat – On February 14, Palestinian artist Saint Levant officially launched the 2048 Foundation, a new artist-led initiative dedicated to funding and supporting Palestinian musicians and music-adjacent creatives.

Offering grants, mentorship, and access to professional networks, the foundation aims to address the structural challenges Palestinian artists face, from limited funding and infrastructure to restricted mobility, while fostering long-term career growth and creative sustainability.

The foundation’s name, 2048, marks the centenary of the Nakba and reflects a vision for a thriving Palestinian cultural life beyond survival.

Unlike traditional grant programs, 2048 focuses on flexible, human-centered support, helping artists finish projects, access equipment, or find creative space, while connecting them to local and international music professionals.

Although formally launching this year, the foundation has been quietly active since 2023, funding projects across Palestine and refining its approach through research and engagement with artists.

The organization emphasizes trust, long-term relationships, and practical support over one-off wins, seeking to grow impact without losing connection to the community.

2048 redistributes access and resources, aiming to create pathways for Palestinian artists to develop their work, build careers, and reach global audiences without leaving their context behind.
