She died at age 71 on January 30 from a blood clot in the lungs. The announcement was met with a standing ovation from the audience at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Seth Rogen, co-creator of “The Studio,” accepted the award on O’Hara’s behalf. He remembered her as a meticulous and kind collaborator, often sending polite emails with suggested rewrites the night before filming a scene.

“Catherine showed that you could be a genius and you could be kind,” Rogen said.

“If you have people in your lives who don’t know her work, show them O’Hara dancing to Harry Belafonte in ‘Beetlejuice,’ or hurting her knee in ‘Best in Show’ and hobbling around, it’s pure Catherine O’Hara, and we were lucky to share a world with her talent.”

“The Studio” also won Best Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Rogen.

In the series, O’Hara portrayed Patty Leigh, a savvy movie executive whose sharp wit and humor won the hearts of audiences.
