Rabat – Spotify has teamed up with beverage brand Liquid Death to create the “Eternal Playlist Urn,” billed as the world’s first wireless speaker designed to bring “your music somewhere it’s never been before,” according to a news release.
The urn, priced at $495 (MAD 4,524), is available for a limited time and comes with a Bluetooth speaker built into the lid.
Purchasers can connect the urn to their music using any compatible device.
To celebrate the launch, Spotify introduced the Eternal Playlist Generator. Users can visit the generator’s website and answer questions like, “What’s your eternal vibe?” or “What’s your go-to ghost noise?”
The company will combine those responses with a user’s listening history to create a personalized playlist “for a lifetime…and beyond.”
Anyone interested can purchase the urn through Liquid Death’s website.
“Finally, death is a lot less boring,” the product listing reads.
“With the Eternal Playlist Urn, now the dead can listen to their favorite jams for all of eternity. Upgrade any post-life experience with this latest revolution in being dead.”
Liquid Death is no stranger to stunt marketing. Last year, it sold 10 empty cans of its low-calorie iced tea that Ozzy Osbourne drank for $450 (MAD 4,120) each.
The cans contained trace DNA from Osbourne’s saliva and were hand-signed by the rock star.
“Now, when technology and federal law permits, you’ll be able to replicate Ozzy Osbourne and enjoy him for hundreds of years into the future,” the company noted. “DNA integrity and cloning results are not guaranteed.”
