Rabat – FIFA has officially announced the launch of the music album for the FIFA World Cup 2026, revealing its first single, “Lighter.”

The song brings together Jelly Roll and Carin León, produced by CirKUT, in a collaboration that reflects the cross-border spirit of the upcoming tournament.

“Lighter” marks the opening chapter of the official album, uniting musical influences from Canada, United States, and Mexico, the three host nations of the 2026 edition.

With a focus on pop, country, and regional Mexican sounds, the track delivers a sonic identity rooted in the cultural diversity of North America.

The album is designed as a meeting point between football and music, capturing the shared emotions that define the World Cup experience. It brings together artists from across continents to create a global cultural bridge that celebrates diversity and unity.

According to ET, FIFA’s president Gianni Infantino said that the project extends the World Cup experience beyond the pitch, highlighting music’s unique ability to translate the passion of the game into a universal language.

He described “Lighter” as the beginning of a broader journey, one that channels the energy, joy, and excitement surrounding the tournament.

Jelly Roll expressed his enthusiasm for being part of the project, calling it an opportunity to connect with new audiences worldwide and share his music on a global stage.

Carin León also shared his pride in contributing to a track that represents the host nations, emphasizing music’s power to unite people across cultures.

The upcoming album will accompany an expanded World Cup format featuring 48 national teams, mirroring that diversity through a wide range of musical styles and voices.
