Rabat – The coastal city of Essaouira is set to once again celebrate the magic of cinema as the fourth edition of “La Dolce Vita à Mogador” takes place from April 15-18.
Organized by the Dolce Vita à Mogador Association, the festival continues to highlight the richness and excellence of Italian cinema while strengthening cultural ties between Morocco and Italy.
Building on the success of previous editions, the event has become a key cultural rendezvous, fostering dialogue across the Mediterranean.
The festival promises a dynamic program designed as a cinematic journey, featuring Italian and Moroccan premieres, as well as tributes to iconic figures of Italian film.
This year’s lineup will also include screenings tailored for students and younger audiences, alongside professional discussions and interactive sessions.
Among the highlights is an acting workshop led by Moroccan artist Amal El Atrache, offering participants a hands-on experience in performance and recitation.
The festival will welcome distinguished guests, including André Azoulay, advisor to King Mohammed VI, and Katia Azoulay, honorary president of the association.
Their presence emphasizes the event’s cultural significance and its role in connecting institutions, filmmakers, and audiences from both countries.
Beyond entertainment, “La Dolce Vita à Mogador” maintains a strong educational and intercultural mission.
By engaging younger generations, the festival positions cinema as a tool for creativity, critical thinking, and social dialogue.
The event is supported by key partners, including the Embassy of Italy in Morocco, the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat, the Società Dante Alighieri Casablanca, the Municipality of Essaouira, the Association Essaouira Mogador, and the Moroccan Cinematographic Center.
