Casablanca – Moroccan-American rapper French Montana is currently filming a movie in Egypt, marking an unexpected expansion of his work beyond music.
The artist shared a series of photos and videos from the set, offering a glimpse into the production atmosphere.
In his caption, he wrote: “Was shooting a movie in Egypt… ain’t nobody tell me the fighter jets was on the call sheet,” hinting at the scale and intensity of the scenes being filmed.
While details about the title, storyline, and release timeline have not yet been revealed, the movie is expected to bring together renowned Egyptian artists, including Ahmed ElSaka, Hossam L Hossainy, Ali El Sabaa, Hassan Abouelrouss, Tamer Hashem, Ahmed Magdy, and Lina Sophia.
His stay in Cairo also coincided with Eid Al Fitr, during which he shared pictures and videos celebrating local Egyptian traditions.
In one clip posted to his social media accounts, he was seen touring the city center in a traditional horse-drawn carriage, known as an “al hantour,” giving fans a glimpse of his festive experience.
In parallel with his film project, French Montana is also expanding his live performance presence internationally.
He is set to headline the opening weekend of a new concert venue, “The Key Vancouver,” in Vancouver.
The opening lineup will feature electronic music producer Dr. Fresch on April 3, followed by French Montana on April 5, where he is expected to perform some of his well-known tracks, including “Unforgettable,” “No Stylist,” and “Pop That.”
