Rabat – Marrakech is currently the host of many world-class stars – including Morocco’s Amrabat brothers, Kylian Mbappe, and other footballing stars.

Videos that went viral online show French superstar Kylian Mbappe receiving a warm welcome in the Red city with the presence of many fans and folklore music bands.

Some reports said that Mbappe attended the Mayfair watch opening ceremony in the city’s M Avenue.

Mbappe is not the only football star to choose Marrakech as a holiday spot this summer, reports have shown.

FC Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele is also one of the stars who chose Marrakech as a holiday spot along with Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano, and Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga.

Madrid Zone reported that Camavinga is also enjoying his vacation in the city of Marrakech, where Mbappe and the Amrabat brothers are enjoying their summertime.

Sofyan and Nordin Amrabat, the two Moroccan footballer brothers, are also enjoying the summer heat in Marrakech.

On Instagram, Sofyan posted a series of pictures from his holiday as he is enjoying a sun bath at one of the city’s luxurious swimming pools.

This is not the first time the Red City hosts celebrities and athletes for their holidays.

Mbappe visited the city several times alongside his best friend and teammate Achraf Hakimi, who plays for Morocco’s national team.

Several renowned magazines have also shed light on the city’s magic in attracting local and international tourists.

Earlier this month, the New York Times featured the red city among the world’s seven greatest cities for walks.

The article praised Marrakech‘s tourism assets, with a special emphasis on the Jemaa El Fna square, a bustling open-air market nestled within the ancient medina.

Tourism contributed 11% of Morocco’s GDP in 2022, with a value of $14.2 billion.
