Casablanca – The Ritz-Carlton Rabat turned yesterday into a space where gastronomy and generosity came together, as chefs and guests gathered for a dinner organized by Les Chefs du Coeur.

Beyond the candles, the curated menus, and the signature plates, the heart of the night was clear: supporting Maison d’Enfants Akkari, an association caring for children and young adults living in vulnerable situations.

The idea was simple but powerful, bringing people together around food to create real-life impact for 250 boys who rely on the association’s care and support.

Bringing together leading chefs, including Gérard Sallé alongside prominent Moroccan culinary figures, the dinner transformed gastronomy into a collective act of solidarity.

The evening also featured renowned Moroccan chef Khadija Bensdira as guest of honor, honoring her contribution to the culinary scene and her presence within a gathering rooted in shared values of generosity and support.

‘A beautiful moment full of solidarity’

Funds raised during the evening will go directly toward education, daily care, and long-term opportunities for the children, with a focus on practical initiatives designed to strengthen their everyday environment and future prospects.

Speaking to MWN Lifestyle on the sidelines of the event, Naima Sifer, founder of Les Chefs du Coeur, described the evening as “a beautiful moment full of solidarity.”

All proceeds will be directed toward concrete projects aimed at improving the children’s daily lives and expanding their opportunities for the future, Sifer emphasized.

From her part, Nawal Hakam, a long-time member of Maison d’Enfants Akkari, reflected the human impact of the initiative.

A member of the association for nearly three decades, Hakam described a place built around care, education, and long-term support, ensuring that children grow up in a structured environment that allows them to continue their education and build independent futures.

The aim, she noted, is to give every child the same opportunities as others, with access to learning and a clear path toward dignity and self-reliance.

The evening at the Ritz-Carlton was not only about what was served at the table. It was about what it set in motion beyond it.

The gala became a moment where generosity translated into action, building opportunity, stability, and hope for children whose futures are shaped step by step through collective support.
