Casablanca – Fashion can be a canvas as much as a craft. In her latest shoot for EE72, Rihanna turns each look into a work of art, moving through a series of striking images where sculptural silhouettes, rich textures, and bold styling feel lifted from a gallery wall.

The result is a visual story that blurs the line between fashion and fine art, with Rihanna at its center.

Sharing the vision on social media, Edward Enninful, Chief Creative Officer of EE72, explained the concept. “Rihanna doesn’t follow trends; she defines the culture we live in,” he wrote, adding that the goal was to bridge the gap between fashion and fine art to create something “majestic.”

The final photos do exactly that. Instead of looking like a typical glossy magazine shoot, the images have a matte, textured finish that gives them the moody feel of a classic oil painting or a charcoal drawing.

In one of the visuals, Rihanna commands the frame with her signature dark lip and voluminous, textured hair, wrapped in an opulent, heavy coat.

The garment features an intricate sage green jacquard-style weave, boasting raised floral embroidery that lends the piece a tangible weight.

As the eye moves downward, the structured fabric beautifully dissolves into a wild, tempestuous cascade of tattered, stringy fringes and feathers.

Grounding the look is an equally sculptural shoe, featuring a striking gold, spine-like metallic rib accent that elegantly climbs the foot.

The second look leans heavily into mid-century surrealism, staging Rihanna within an abstract, living painting. She stands posed against a flat, painterly backdrop depicting a minimalist, dark gray house silhouette set beneath an open blue sky and a textured, terracotta-red ground.

Here, the styling plays with contrasting textures. Rihanna wears a sleek, stark black turtleneck tucked into a highly graphic, high-contrast skirt.

Far from standard feathers, the skirt is a visual narrative of its own: crafted from a tinsel-like shredded material arranged in sharp, geometric blocks of red, white, and black. The dramatic silhouette is punctuated by massive, structural gold cuffs gleaming on her wrists.

Shifting toward a softer, more romantic aesthetic, the third outfit features an off-the-shoulder gown of creamy, luminous silk that drapes effortlessly around her arms. The ethereal quality of the fabric is enhanced by fine, delicate bursts of pale pink and light green feathers tracing the neckline.

A bold Chanel look follows, defined by a strong interplay of color and structure. Rihanna appears in an off-shoulder top where red, white, yellow, beige, and black tones merge in a vivid painterly composition. The look is balanced with a mid-length black feather skirt, creating a clear contrast between the expressive upper section and the darker, textured base.

In one of the most theatrical moments of the series, Rihanna wears a full black Schiaparelli ensemble. The jacket, inspired by wing-like forms, is styled in an unconventional, reversed placement that shifts the silhouette and gives it a surreal, sculptural presence. The result feels closer to an art piece than a conventional outfit.

A final leather look closes the series with a grounded, structured energy. The dress is detailed with burgundy red and black fringe elements, shaped into a fitted silhouette that defines the waist. A contrasting inner layer in beige and black adds depth and visual layering, giving the look a sharp, multidimensional finish.

Together, the EE72 session places Rihanna at the center of a wider visual language where clothing becomes narrative, texture becomes emotion, and styling becomes storytelling.
