Fez — Collectif 4.0 is inviting families in Casablanca to close the 2026 season of “Morocco, Land of Cultures” with “Chouf & Shoot,” a photography-themed cultural experience at Villa des Arts Casablanca.

The event is scheduled for June 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the outdoor esplanade of Villa des Arts Casablanca, according to a press release from the organizers.

The program is organized in partnership with the Al Mada Foundation, which runs Villa des Arts Casablanca as part of its cultural mission to promote Moroccan art and heritage.

The foundation describes the Villas des Arts as spaces for contemporary art, creation, meetings, and public access to artistic heritage.

Photography as a family experience

“Chouf & Shoot” shifts the focus of the monthly program toward photography and the power of images.

The title plays on the Moroccan Arabic word “chouf,” meaning “look,” turning the camera into a tool for attention, imagination, and storytelling.

Through the activity, children will be encouraged to observe faces, details, landscapes, and emotions before transforming what they see into visual expression.

The organizers present the experience as a way to help young participants understand that photography begins with a gaze before becoming a picture.

The program will include creative workshops around images and photography, personalized photo frames, portrait-making activities, and do-it-yourself creations inspired by visual culture.

Families will also be able to take part in an interactive photo booth, observation games, coloring workshops, and an exhibition tracing the evolution of cameras and the history of photography.

A season built around Moroccan culture

“Chouf & Shoot” marks the sixth and final edition of the 2026 season of “Morocco, Land of Cultures,” a monthly family program held at Villa des Arts Casablanca.

Previous editions explored themes linked to Moroccan heritage, including colors, rhythms, crafts, and visual expression.

“Morocco, Land of Cultures” is a monthly family event designed to introduce participants to Morocco’s crafts and cultural traditions through playful, interactive, and educational workshops.

By closing the season with photography, Collectif 4.0 is extending the program’s focus from inherited traditions to the ways children see and reinterpret the world around them.

The organizers said the experience is designed for both children and adults, with a single family admission fee of MAD 50.

The final edition points to a broader idea at the heart of the program. Culture is not only preserved through objects, music, or crafts. It also lives in the way people learn to look at everyday life.
