Rabat – The city of Marrakech has been featured on Vogue’s list of “best winter sun” destinations in 2023.

Emphasizing Marrakech’s  proximity to London, the renowned magazine described the Moroccan red-washed city as a “mainstay on lists of the best winter sun destinations and with good reason.”

The magazine’s list that was published earlier this month features a series of spots visitors can explore in the city of Marrakech, including the Yves Saint Laurent erstwhile home, the souk, as well as the MAP Marrakech museum, which is home to over 3,0000 pieces of jewelry from across the world.

“The city’s grand dame hotels —Royal Mansour and El Fenn—remain as sumptuous as ever,” Vogue wrote.

The magazine invited travelers to consider traveling a little bit outside Marrakech to experience something “different” at the Caravan Agafay.

“The latest opening from the Habitas group is surrounded by the lunar landscape of the Agafay desert, with the Atlas mountains visible from its eco-luxe Berber-inspired tents,” the magazine wrote.

Vogue’s best winter sun list also includes destinations, such as the Maldives, and Bali among others.

Renowned magazines and websites have featured Marrakech among the best destinations to visit this year.

Travel platform Tripadvisor has listed Marrakech as one of the best destinations to visit in 2023.

In the 2023 Travelers’ Choice ranking, Marrakech came in eighth place, following Dubai, Bali, London, Rome, Paris, Cancun, and Crete.
However, the city of Marrakech is not the only attractive city in Morocco.

The Washington Post listed the whole country among its top travel destinations for 2023.

“If you’re worried about your travel budget, consider visiting as a work exchange volunteer like reporter Andrea Sachs tried in Fez,” said the Washington Post reported.

The North African country welcomed no less than 10.9 million tourists between January and November last year.

The country’s tourism revenues reached $8 billion in the first 11 months of 2022.
