Casablanca – Franco-Algerian artist Danyl delivered one of Jazzablanca 2026’s most high-energy performances, taking over the Casa Anfa stage.

From the opening song to the final note, the audience matched his energy with nonstop singalongs, dancing, and an enthusiasm that never faded, turning the performance into one of the festival’s most memorable moments.

Yesterday’s concert also marked Danyl’s very first performance in Morocco, where he was welcomed by an audience that responded with genuine excitement and unwavering energy throughout the night.

Songs such as “Mazel,” “Zendaya,” “Les Zhommes,” and “Brouillon” quickly turned into collective singalongs, with the crowd following nearly every lyric while keeping the atmosphere alive from one song to the next.

Blending melodic rap, raï influences, and contemporary pop, Danyl brought to Jazzablanca the hybrid sound that has shaped his artistic identity.

His set moved effortlessly between emotionally driven moments and upbeat tracks, creating a performance that appealed as much to longtime listeners as to those discovering his music for the first time.

A strong bond with the audience

Yet beyond the music itself, it was Danyl’s connection with the audience that defined the evening. Constantly interacting with the crowd, encouraging them to sing louder and move with him, he transformed the concert into a shared celebration rather than a simple performance.

As the concert drew to a close, Danyl climbed onto the front barrier, bringing himself face to face with the audience. Standing just above the front row, the Franco-Algerian singer performed “Brouillon” alongside festivalgoers, who sang every word back to him.

The intimate finale reflected not only his appreciation for the warm welcome he received in Morocco during his first performance in the country, but also the genuine connection he had built with the audience over the course of the evening.

For a first appearance in Morocco, the reception could hardly have been warmer. And judging by the audience’s response, it is unlikely to be his last.
