Rabat – Moroccan tech entrepreneur Chirihan Chergui will represent Morocco at the 73rd edition of Miss World 2026, taking place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
When the spotlight turns to the National Costume competition, Chergui will step onto the stage wearing a Fez zellige-inspired caftan by designer Hind El Iraqi, transforming one of Morocco’s most recognizable artistic signatures into wearable fashion.
The Berkane native will also take audiences on a journey through Morocco’s Oriental region with an artistic performance titled “Roots.”
Dressed in the traditional Oujda “blouza” and accompanied by the vibrant rhythms of Reggada, Chergui will bring a piece of her hometown to Vietnam while celebrating the richness of Moroccan heritage.
For her, representing Morocco goes beyond competing in an international pageant. It’s an opportunity to present a country that proudly preserves its traditions while embracing innovation and global ambition.
Yet her journey extends far beyond the world of beauty.
Based in France, Chergui has built a career as a technology entrepreneur specializing in artificial intelligence, combining innovation with entrepreneurship while continuing to promote Morocco internationally.
She is also an ambassador for SOS Children’s Villages Morocco, where she supports young people as they transition into higher education, professional life, and independent living.
Combining heritage, entrepreneurship, and purpose, Chirihan Chergui heads to Miss World 2026 with far more than a crown in mind, carrying with her a modern portrait of Morocco that’s rooted in culture while looking firmly ahead.
