Casablanca’s biggest music festival is back, and it’s making music history this year.
Fez – The Jazzablanca Festival returns for its 18th edition with an electrifying lineup featuring global superstars Black Eyed Peas, Macklemore, Seal, and renowned French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf.
Scheduled to take place from July 4 to 6, the festival promises an unforgettable experience, blending jazz, funk, hip-hop, and world music on Casablanca’s vibrant stage.
The festival will open with a powerful performance by British soul icon Seal, whose timeless hits, including “Kiss from a Rose” and “Crazy”, have captivated audiences for decades.
His deep, velvety voice and emotional delivery are set to create an unforgettable atmosphere for the festival’s first night.
One of the biggest highlights will be the highly anticipated performance by the Black Eyed Peas on July 4.
The Grammy-winning group, known for global bops like “I Gotta Feeling”, “Where Is the Love?”, and “Pump It”, will bring their signature fusion of hip-hop, pop, and electronic beats to Casablanca, promising a high-energy show.
The festival will close with Macklemore, marking his first-ever performance in Morocco. The American rapper, famous for chart-toppers like “Thrift Shop”, “Can’t Hold Us”, and “Glorious”, is known for his dynamic stage presence and socially conscious lyrics.
His performance is expected to be a standout moment of Jazzablanca 2025.
Beyond the headliners, the festival boasts an eclectic lineup of artists worldwide. Moroccan singer-songwriter Hindi Zahra will make a much-anticipated return, debuting her new album and bringing her unique blend of folk, blues, and traditional Amazigh influences to the stage.
Brazilian artist Seu Jorge, recognized for his contributions to modern samba and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), will add a touch of Latin groove, while legendary funk band Kool & The Gang is set to deliver classic hits like “Celebration” and “Jungle Boogie”.
Ibrahim Maalouf, known for his innovative trumpet style, will perform with The Trumpets of Michel-Ange, a project that pushes the boundaries of jazz and classical fusion.
His ability to blend Arabic musical traditions with jazz has made him a festival favorite worldwide.
Another standout act will be a unique collaboration between London-based jazz ensemble Waaju and Moroccan Gnaoua maalem Majid Bekkas.
As one of Morocco’s premier music festivals, Jazzablanca continues to attract international talent while celebrating the rich musical heritage of the region.
With a lineup that spans genres and cultures, the 18th edition is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet.
