Morocco’s most iconic fashion celebration just turned 25, and it’s spectacular.

Fez – The 25th edition of Caftan Week wrapped up in spectacular fashion, with a show-stopping closing event that brought together some of Morocco’s most talented designers.

These women aren’t just designing clothes, they’re writing the future of the Moroccan caftan.

With each creation, they’re honoring a timeless legacy while boldly reimagining its global future.

And what a finale it was. The evening sparkled with the presence of Moroccan and international artists, media personalities, politicians, and influencers.

On stage, stars like Egyptian actress Nelly Karim and Moroccan icon Mayssa Maghrabi lit up the night, while musical guests Hatim Ammor and Manal Benchlikha kept the energy high and the crowd enchanted.

But beyond the glamour, Caftan Week 2025 had something deeper to say. This year’s theme focused on the richness of Moroccan identity, placing a spotlight on the southern desert regions, where tradition runs deep and creativity flows like an oasis.

This wasn’t just a fashion show; it was a love letter to Moroccan heritage. The desert, with all its mystery and resilience, became a stage for modern artistry, blending centuries-old craftsmanship with avant-garde design.

For 25 years, Caftan Week has served as a stage where heritage and innovation thrive together.

This anniversary edition stayed true to that mission, offering a space for rising talents to shine and for Morocco’s collective cultural memory to be celebrated, reinterpreted, and shared with the world.

The event owes its origins to “Femmes du Maroc”, the magazine that launched it back in 1996.

At the time, it was the first Moroccan platform dedicated exclusively to the art of the caftan. Since then, it’s grown into an internationally respected showcase for Moroccan haute couture, attracting top designers and fashion lovers from across the globe.

Today, Caftan Week is far more than a runway event. It’s a full-fledged cultural gathering, where creativity meets heritage, and where the next generation of designers is given the tools and visibility to bloom.

Through tailored support programs and mentoring initiatives, it has become a launchpad for young creatives looking to leave their mark on Moroccan fashion.

As for “Femmes du Maroc”, the magazine remains a force to be reckoned with. Founded in 1995 and published by the Caractères Group, it has cemented its role not only in fashion and beauty journalism but as a vital voice in modern Moroccan society.

Known for its bold editorial choices and its commitment to reflecting the evolving lives of Moroccan women, it continues to challenge, inform, and inspire.

Caftan Week 2025 celebrated a story, a legacy, and more importantly, a future.
