“I view this exhibition at the Abla Ababou Gallery as a pivotal milestone in my artistic journey, as this gallery holds a prominent position in the Moroccan art scene,” Chardoudi stated on the sidelines of the exhibition.
“Regarding inspiration, I draw from various aspects of life, be it a musical composition, a cinematic masterpiece, or a simple moment from everyday life might convey a message or an idea for an artistic work,” Chardoudi told MWN.
For this reason, the artist continued, “I believe that everything around us holds potential for profound artistic discourse.”
Attendees at the gallery were in awe of Chardoudi’s stunning abstract and transparent artworks, which are distinguished by a dazzling blend of colors and forms.
Chardoudi’s works of art
“The pieces I’m exhibiting at the gallery have been in progress for nearly two years, reflecting significant personal dedication and exploration,” Chardoudi said of his works.
According to him, these pieces uphold the continuity of the established style while introducing fresh materials and perspectives to abstract art, which he always tries to anchor in reality.
In addition, experimenting with new color combinations and compositions other than his typical palette has been especially energizing for the artist. He explained that this exploration is in an effort to produce the ideal work of art; one that captivates the viewer’s imagination.
Commenting on the color aspect of the exhibition, Chardoudi said that the use of black and other seldomly used hues is a significant and intentional decision that he believes is essential to his creative development.
