Fez – Forbes has released its list of the world’s most powerful countries for 2025. The rankings are based on key factors like leadership, economy, political influence, military strength, and international partnerships.
The United States takes the top spot, followed by China in second place, while Israel comes in at number ten.
The rankings were created by researchers from BAV Group, led by Professor David Reibstein from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Here’s the list:
United States – The US leads the list with a GDP of $30.34 trillion and a population of 345 million.
China – Ranked second, China has a GDP of $19.53 trillion and a population of 1.419 billion.
Russia – With a GDP of $2.2 trillion and a population of 84 million, Russia is in third place.
United Kingdom – The UK takes fourth place, with a GDP of $3.73 trillion and a population of 69 million.
Germany – The European country ranks fifth with a $4.92 trillion economy and a population of 85.4 million.
South Korea – Economic power, technology, and military strength place South Korea in sixth. It has a GDP of $1.95 trillion and a population of 51.7 million.
France – Seventh on the list, France has a GDP of $3.28 trillion and a population of 66.5 million.
Japan – Japan is ranked eighth, with a GDP of $4.39 trillion and a population of 123.7 million.
Saudi Arabia – With a GDP of $1.14 trillion and a population of 33.9 million, Saudi Arabia takes ninth place.
Israel – Tenth on the list, Israel has a GDP of $550.91 billion and a population of 9.38 million.
After the rankings were posted yesterday, socials were a buzz talking about India’s obvious omission.
The drama didn’t stop there, people were furious that India didn’t make the ranking, and social media turned into a full-blown battlefield
So, where does India stand?
India is ranked 12th among the world’s most powerful countries. The country has a GDP of $3.55 trillion and a population of 1.43 billion.
