Marrakech – The CityRun Association is thrilled to announce the 2nd edition of MarrakechRun, set to take place at Nzaha Moulay Hassan over the weekend of October 18–19, promising a festive, athletic, and community-driven atmosphere.

Following the successful editions of CasablancaRun (February 2025), RabatRun (May 2025), and TangerRun (June 2025), TheCityRun continues its national 2025 tour, supported by local authorities and corporate partners, including City of Marrakech, Citroën, Royal Air Maroc, Club Med, Indomie, Neomatrix, and Cosumar.

MarrakechRun goes beyond being just a race. It’s a living tribute to the athletes, coaches, associations, and running groups that keep their city moving.

Participants and spectators alike will be inspired to adopt lasting wellness habits – long after the weekend ends.

“TheCityRun’s mission is to highlight local communities, give them a voice, and connect them to the wider public, fostering a sustainable culture of sport in cities across Morocco,” organizers said, according to a press release shared with MWN.

Open, inclusive & free

MarrakechRun welcomes everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or experience.

The event aims to promote accessible health and sports practices, strengthen social bonds and inclusion, showcase urban spaces through sport,  and highlight local talent.

Looking ahead, TheCityRun 2026 plans a series of ambitious events across Morocco, from Casablanca to Oujda, reinforcing a vision of long-term, city-based sports communities.

Towards a healthier Morocco

According to the organizers, TheCityRun is not just an event – it’s a national movement for wellness, citizen sport, and collective energy.

Its ambition is clear: spark sustainable sport dynamics in every city, ensuring active, visible, and supported local communities long after the races conclude.
