Rabat – The Société de Développement Saïdia (SDS) has announced its official participation in the Oriental Meeting Days 2025, scheduled for November 21–22 at the Cité des Métiers et des Compétences (CMC Oriental) in Nador. The company says this is a strategic opportunity to reaffirm its role in the territorial, tourism, and economic development of Morocco’s Oriental region.
For more than a decade, SDS has acted as a key operator within Saïdia Mediterrania, the flagship seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast.
The company oversees the management, modernization, and animation of the station, with a focus on sustainable development, strengthened infrastructure, and a diversified tourism offer. Its strategy aims to enhance the resort’s attractiveness while ensuring better integration of the Oriental region.
Showcasing flagship projects and new partnerships
The Oriental Meeting Days, a major new regional gathering, will bring together decision-makers, investors, institutions, companies, and academic actors to discuss investment, industrialization, employment, and innovation.
Within this context, SDS plans to present its flagship projects for Saïdia Mediterrania, share recent progress at the resort, and explore fresh avenues for cooperation and partnership.
During the two-day event, the company will spotlight pilot projects with high impact and transformative potential, from infrastructure upgrades to new leisure and hospitality initiatives. It will also outline its roadmap for sustainable and competitive tourism development, positioning Saïdia as a year-round destination rather than a strictly seasonal resort.
SDS emphasizes that its work contributes directly to the wider regional dynamic and to the Oriental’s ambitions as a Euro-Mediterranean gateway.
In a call to stakeholders, SDS is inviting professionals, investors, tourism operators, institutional actors, and interested members of the public to attend the Oriental Meeting Days 2025. The company sees the event as a chance for participants to discover the projects shaping the future of Saïdia Mediterrania and, more broadly, the transformation of the Oriental region.
Founded in 2011 and jointly owned by MADAËF and ITHMAR, SDS is tasked with raising the quality of infrastructure, expanding hotel capacity, diversifying leisure activities, and driving long-term sustainability. Its goal is to position Saïdia as a vibrant, internationally recognized destination that generates lasting socio-economic opportunities for the region and remains active throughout the year.
