Marrakech – During the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in Marrakech, Sana Benzaitar studio will present “Transmission,’ a unique collaborative exhibition bringing together artists Amina Alaoui Fdili and Ismail Alaoui Fdili, from February 6 to March 31.
“Transmission” carries a deeply emotional dimension. Following the passing of Sana Benzaitar in August 2025, the visionary founder whose spirit continues to shape every creation of the studio, the leadership is now carried forward by her sister, Raja Benzaitar.
From sister to sister within the studio, and from father to son among the artists, the exhibition becomes a declaration of permanence, of a shared gaze, a sustained gesture, and an enduring engagement with craft and creation.
Amine & Ismail Alaoui Fdili
At the heart of the exhibition lies an intimate artistic dialogue between father and son. Amine Alaoui Fdili presents a rigorous selection drawn from over four decades of archives, revealing a layered and mature artistic journey.
In response, Ismail Alaoui Fdili offers a contemporary body of work that reinterprets inherited codes, reshaping them to forge his own visual language.
This exchange echoes the core mission of Sana Benzaitar studio: bridging ancestral know-how with contemporary aesthetics.
Here, transmission unfolds in all its dimensions; the circulation of heritage through generations, and the preservation of craftsmanship, knowledge, and vision.
