Lugano — Vogue has recognized Royal Mansour Marrakech spa as one of the world’s most exceptional wellness destinations in its latest global spa guide.
The spa, unveiled in 2021, stands as a defining feature of the property, with Vogue describing it as “a 27,000-square-foot Shangri-La of wellness,” where traditional North African rituals and modern treatments converge, calling it “the best spa in the city and possibly in all of Morocco.”
Guests have access to private hammams, tailored spa suites, and holistic therapy spaces, alongside a state-of-the-art fitness center and specialized services such as a Bastien Gonzalez nail studio.
The spa also includes dedicated relaxation areas, and personalized programs designed to create a complete retreat that elevates the experience into a fully immersive, restorative retreat.
Among its standout features is the 22 meter indoor pool, which Vogue highlighted as a centerpiece of the spa experience, describing it as a “an elegant, orangery-style glasshouse shaped in the form of a Moorish arch.”
Treatments at the spa are a mix of Moroccan traditions and modern techniques, with signature hammam rituals featuring black soap cleansing, kessa exfoliation, and nourishing wraps using ingredients such as argan, saffron, and rose.
Services also include body therapies such as body wraps with clay from the Atlas Mountains and hydrating treatments infused with orange blossom and herbal extracts, alongside advanced facials, and massages.
Opened in 2010, the hotel was built by more than 1,000 artisans and is composed of 53 independent riads, creating what Vogues describes as “a little house” for each guest.
The design reflects Morocco’s rich artistic heritage, with Vogue noting that “every surface is a tribute” to the region’s distinctive patterns and textures.
Described by Vogue as “a medina within the medina,” the hotel’s blend of private riad living, intricate craftsmanship, and expansive spa facilities continues to set a benchmark in luxury hospitality, design, and wellness.
