Fez — Moroccan rapper Draganov has expanded his presence on Billboard Arabia charts following the release of his short project “Pavarotti × Ghalta,” a two-track drop presented through one music video.

The release, published nearly two weeks before Billboard Arabia’s May 3 update, brings together “Pavarotti” and “Ghalta” in a single visual format. The approach is not new for Draganov, who has previously used multi-part videos to connect different musical ideas within one broader artistic frame.

A stronger chart presence

Billboard Arabia reported that Draganov rose from No. 28 to No. 21 on its Billboard Arabia Artist 100 chart after the new release entered several rankings. “Ghalta” also reached the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 this week at No. 97.

On the Morocco Top 50 chart, “Ghalta” placed at No. 10, while “Pavarotti” followed at No. 12. The two tracks joined other Draganov songs already present on the ranking, including “Tach” at No. 22 and “Bon Courage” at No. 38.

The project also entered Billboard Arabia’s Hip-Hop Top 50, with “Ghalta” reaching No. 15 and “Pavarotti” landing at No. 17.

An experimental visual direction

Beyond the chart numbers, “Pavarotti × Ghalta” stands out for its experimental structure. Draganov uses the double-track format to shift between moods, aesthetics, and performance modes without fully separating the songs.

The title “Pavarotti” suggests a theatrical reference point, while “Ghalta” moves through a more direct rap register. Together, the two tracks create a contrast that gives the project its tension.

The visual treatment also leans into a boundary-pushing style, blending performance, irony, and cinematic staging rather than relying on a standard rap video formula. This gives the release a more conceptual feel and reinforces Draganov’s interest in stretching how Moroccan hip-hop can look and sound.
