Rabat – Two weeks of international golf concluded at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, hosting the AM Green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026 and the AM Green IGPL Bharath Classic 2026.
The back-to-back tournaments highlighted Morocco’s growing reputation as a destination for elite competition and a key gateway to the International Series Morocco.
The AM Green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars, held from May 28-31, was won by Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool, who finished at -17.
He edged out Bangladesh’s Siddikur Rahman, who placed second at -15.
The opening event set the tone for an innovative competitive pathway, allowing players from the Asian Development Tour to progress toward the Asian Tour and ultimately the International Series Morocco.
In the AM Green IGPL Bharath Classic, Sweden’s Charlie Lindh delivered a standout performance to claim victory after a remarkable final round.
His closing 64 (-8) secured a winning total of -18, ahead of Settee Prakongvech and Charles Porter, who finished tied for second at -14.
The result marked Lindh’s first Asian Tour title and provided strong momentum ahead of the upcoming Rabat event.
Moroccan golfers also delivered encouraging performances. Ayoub Lguirati finished 13th in the second tournament at -9, confirming his status as the country’s leading player for the week.
Earlier, Ayoub Id Omar also made the cut in the opening event, contributing to a strong national presence across both competitions.
In total, seven Moroccan players have qualified for the International Series Morocco: Ayoub Lguirati, El Mehdi Fakori, Ayoub Id Omar, Nizar Bourehim, Abderrahmane Fakori, Youssef El Hali, and Hugo Trommetter.
The week also featured a defining moment on the final hole, where Charlie Lindh sealed his victory with a spectacular eagle on the 18th.
Turning a title challenge into triumph, he produced his best golf under pressure in a finish that stood out as one of the highlights of the tournament.
