Rabat – This time, Morocco’s Atlas Lions have found themselves starring in their own version of La Casa de Papel, at least according to @legacymx2.

Internet personality has racked up views after sharing a video that compares key figures from Morocco’s national football team to characters from the hit Spanish series La Casa de Papel (Money Heist).

The light-hearted crossover has been winning over fans, who have been debating whether the pairings are spot on.

Leading the lineup is Morocco U-23 coach Mohamed Ouahbi, who is cast as The Professor, the mastermind known for his calm leadership and tactical brilliance.

Given Ouahbi’s reputation for developing talent and orchestrating Morocco’s recent youth success, many viewers agreed the comparison fits.

Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, affectionately known as Bono, is matched with Rio, while midfield powerhouse Sofyan Amrabat takes on the role of Helsinki, reflecting his physical presence and fearless style on the pitch.

Completing the quartet is star full-back Achraf Hakimi, compared to the energetic and charismatic Denver.

The video doesn’t take itself too seriously, but that’s exactly why fans are enjoying it.

With both the Atlas Lions and Money Heist boasting passionate global followings, the crossover blends football and pop culture in a way that has sparked laughs, debates, and plenty of shares across social media.
