Rabat – The Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida is expanding its role beyond competitions and exhibitions by bringing together veterinarians, researchers, historians, and equestrian experts for a day of scientific and cultural discussions focused on the future of the equine industry.
Designed as a platform for knowledge sharing, this year’s conference program will explore how veterinary medicine, cultural heritage, and innovation are shaping the relationship between horses and society.
Through three dedicated sessions, participants will examine both the latest scientific developments and the historical significance of horses in Morocco.
The opening session will focus on equine health and welfare, highlighting emerging practices in veterinary care.
Discussions will cover the development of equine-assisted therapy in Morocco, alongside hydrotherapy and modern rehabilitation techniques that are increasingly used to improve recovery and strengthen the bond between horses and humans.
The second session will shift toward Morocco’s rich equestrian heritage, exploring the historical role of horses within the Cherifian Mehalla and their contribution to both physical and psychological well-being.
Speakers will also emphasize the importance of preserving Morocco’s equestrian archives, terminology, and documentary heritage as essential elements of the country’s cultural identity.
Veterinary innovation will take center stage during the final session, organized in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Equine Veterinarians.
Specialists from the field will present recent advances in equine genetics, surgical procedures, diagnostic tools, and therapeutic approaches, offering professionals an opportunity to exchange expertise and discuss evolving standards of care.
