Rabat – BLACKPINK officially marked a decade since their debut, celebrating 10 years since Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa first stepped onto the K-pop scene together.

Of course, a BLACKPINK anniversary was never going to be just another date on the calendar.

To mark the 10th anniversary, YG Entertainment organized a special fan event on Saturday in Seoul, bringing all four members together for a meet-and-greet with 40 fans.

The event was intended as a thank-you to BLINK, but the limited number of attendees sparked criticism from some fans, particularly after the plans were announced only days before the anniversary.

Despite the backlash surrounding the event, the four members made sure the anniversary remained personal.

Jennie took to Instagram to reflect on the past decade and thank the fans who believed in her, waited for her, and continued to support her throughout the journey.

After 10 years, she noted that the gratitude she has always expressed toward BLINK carries an even deeper meaning.

As BLACKPINK reached the 10-year mark, she opened up about the many experiences she has lived through both as a member of the group and as a solo artist.

She also spoke about her desire to show fans the brighter side of her life and bring them happiness, particularly during difficult moments.

Seeing some BLINKs disappointed around the anniversary, she admitted, left her feeling especially emotional.

Rosé marked the occasion on Instagram with a heartfelt look back at the decade she shared with Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa.

Reflecting on growing from 19 to 29 alongside her bandmates, she expressed gratitude for the memories they created together and for the love BLINK has shown them.

She also looked back at milestones including Coachella and the group’s three world tours, describing the past decade as a period in which both BLACKPINK and its members grew as artists.

Lisa also turned to Instagram to thank BLINK for standing beside her throughout the past 10 years.

Reflecting on her relationship with Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé, she described their journey as a rollercoaster filled with ups and downs, while making it clear that she would not have wanted to experience it any other way.

History made, in pink

The group debuted on August 8, 2016, under YG Entertainment with “BOOMBAYAH” and “Whistle,” quickly establishing themselves as one of the biggest acts of their generation.

Over the years, BLACKPINK turned that early momentum into global stardom, with hits including “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” “How You Like That,” “Lovesick Girls,” and “Pink Venom.”

And the milestones kept coming. BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to headline Coachella, before returning in 2023 as the festival’s first K-pop headliner.

In 2025, they also became the first K-pop girl group to perform at London’s Wembley Stadium, drawing 110,000 fans across two sold-out nights.

Their music career has also expanded well beyond singles. The group released its first full-length album, “The Album,” in 2020, followed by Born Pink in 2022.

The latter arrived alongside a massive world tour, while the group’s latest “Deadline” era brought the four members back together for a new release and another global tour in 2025–2026.

The Deadline tour ran for seven months, covering 33 shows across 16 cities.

From four young artists making their debut in 2016 to stadium stages, global festivals, record-breaking tours, and solo careers of their own, BLACKPINK’s first decade has been anything but quiet.

And if the past 10 years proved anything, it is that BLACKPINK and BLINK have grown together.

Now, with the group officially entering its second decade, the question is no longer whether they made history, it is what they will do next.
