Rabat — Rabat audiences will encounter a story of memory, silence, and shared trauma when “Trois yeux… et un chat” (Three Eyes… and One Cat) takes the stage at Bahnini Hall on September 8.

Presented by theater company Corp’scène with support from Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Department of Culture, the production is written and directed by Amine Boudrika. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

At the center of the play are Lyn, Batoul, and Meriem, three women who do not know one another but carry traces of a similar experience.

Their memories initially emerge through small details: a smell, a way of walking, a silence, or a look. As their stories begin to overlap, the women discover a common figure haunting each of their pasts.

He is known simply as “the Cat.”

Three stories, one wound

As the women speak more openly, what each initially understood as an isolated and deeply personal experience begins to reveal a wider pattern of violence.

The production follows their gradual realization that they are not alone and their decision to confront the silence surrounding what happened to them.

Rather than remaining prisoners of their memories, Lyn, Batoul, and Meriem eventually unite and wait together for the man whose presence continues to shape their lives.

The cast features Hajar Chergui, Zaynab Alji, Asmae Lamin, and Ayoub Gretaa. Boudrika also designed the scenography, while Yassin El Hour oversees lighting and visual design.

The production incorporates music composed by Yassir Tourjmani, with Tourjmani and Kenza Khalifi performing live. Adam Essabir designed the costumes, while Reda Tsouli is responsible for mapping and visual projections.

Through three intersecting memories, “Trois yeux… et un chat” approaches silence not simply as absence, but as something that can be broken once individual experiences become shared.
