Rabat — H&M has unveiled its latest designer collaboration, bringing Lebanese couturier Elie Saab’s signature glamour to the high street in a collection set to launch on October 22.
The collection takes Saab’s more extravagant designs and brings them into a more versatile wardrobe. Along with floor-length gowns, the collection includes casual pieces, outerwear, tailoring and items that can easily be worn in everyday life.
Naturally, the gowns are among the collection’s main attractions, with standout pieces including a gradient green dress with a thigh-high slit, a sculptural black gown with an exaggerated bow and train, and a strapless gold number covered in intricate beadwork and sequins.
The campaign takes to the streets of Paris, with Moroccan-Egyptian-Dutch model Iman Hammam showcasing the collection’s latest looks against the city’s iconic backdrop.
The campaign also features model Julia Nobis, among others, presenting both evening and daytime pieces.
Inside Ellie Saab’s Iconic Repertoire
Elie Saab, one of the Middle East’s most renowned designers, is known for his elegant and detailed couture creations. His atelier was founded nearly four decades ago in Beirut, marking the beginning of a fashion house that would later gain international recognition.
Over the years, Saab has dressed some of the world’s most famous clients, while his collections have been presented on runways around the globe. Today, the house has an established presence in both haute couture and ready-to-wear.
For Elie Saab, the collaboration is ultimately about bringing the world of the house to a wider audience while preserving its signature spirit.H&M was a natural partner, given its history of working with renowned names in high fashion.
From Beirut atelier to global fashion house
Saab founded his fashion house in Beirut in 1982 at just 18 years old. Over the following 44 years, the label expanded from bridal and eveningwear into haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories, fragrances, and other luxury categories.
He later became the first Arab designer to join the official Paris haute couture calendar, helping establish a stronger Arab presence within an industry historically dominated by European houses.
The partnership now places Saab within H&M’s long-running series of designer collaborations, which began with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004 and later included names such as Versace, Balmain, Moschino, Mugler, and Rabanne.
