Casablanca – Another Moroccan production is getting ready to hit local cinemas, with “Zawaj Center” expected to arrive on the big screen on September 23.

What’s the story?

Directed by Soufiane Harki and produced by Anas Harki, the upcoming movie is a comedy built around one young man’s attempt to escape an arranged marriage, only to find himself caught in a much bigger mess.

The story follows Younes, a young man who finds himself in a bind when his mother decides to arrange his marriage to his cousin. He claims that he already has a fiancée, thinking the excuse will get him out of the situation.

There is just one problem. He now has to find the made-up fiancée.

With the help of his two friends, Tarik and Pedro, the heroes set out to find someone who can play the part.

Their search eventually takes them to the famous “Zawaj Center,” turning what was supposed to be a quick way out into a string of encounters that they never saw coming.

And with every new attempt to make his story believable, Younes only finds himself deeper in a mess of comedic twists, surprises, and plans that refuse to go the way he intended.

A familiar Moroccan cast

“Zawaj Center” brings together several established Moroccan actors, including Nacer Akbab, Nada Haddaoui, Mourad Hmimou, and Wahiba Bouya, alongside other familiar faces from the Moroccan entertainment scene.

With its mix of romance, comedy, and everyday Moroccan situations, the film promises to offer audiences a lighthearted cinema experience when it arrives in theaters later this month.
