Casablanca – Moroccan singer Manal has finally released her latest song, “Foras” (Chances), following months of anticipation and snippets that kept fans waiting for the full track.

The new release brings together Manal, Mouna Tamessate, and Ayoub Toute on the lyrics, while Nyzk handled the composition.

“Foras” takes listeners into the story of someone who keeps giving chances in a relationship, even after disappointment has already piled up. Eventually, there comes a moment when there is simply nothing left to give.

‘I have never regretted choosing myself’

But beyond the song itself, “Foras” carries a deeply personal meaning for Manal.

In a social media post, the singer opened up about repeatedly giving people more chances than they deserved, sometimes out of naivety, fear of being alone, or a desire to save a relationship.

She explained that while part of her wanted to walk away, another part kept holding on and asking for “one last chance.” Eventually, she realized that completely cutting ties can sometimes be the only way to truly feel free.

“Today, I don’t feel sad about leaving. I feel relieved. I feel lighter. I feel at peace. And I have never regretted choosing myself,” she wrote.

For Manal, the song ultimately became more than a story about a relationship. It turned into a reminder that sometimes leaving people behind is part of choosing yourself, and that freedom can be worth more than holding on.

Fans finally get their “Foras”

Fans were quick to welcome the long-awaited release, especially after Manal had been dropping snippets of the track in recent weeks.

The song now joins a growing list of releases that have kept listeners hooked on the Moroccan artist’s sound, including “Chouka,” “Kalimat,” and “Carta Rouge.”

With “Foras,” Manal continues that musical run with a track that feels particularly close to home, both for the artist and for anyone who has ever given one chance too many.
