Rabat — The Moroccan Football Museum has received a kinetic wall sculpture titled “À l’unisson, l’espoir d’un peuple” (In Unison, the Hope of a People), created in 2025 by Moroccan artist Bouchra El Menjra.
Announced on October 16, the donation marks another step in expanding the museum’s artistic collection and highlighting the relationship between Moroccan football and cultural expression.
Represented by Myriem Himmich Art Gallery, El Menjra created the sculpture using the colors and emblem of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
The artwork celebrates the development of Moroccan football while reflecting values associated with the sport, including discipline, perseverance, movement, transmission, and collective strength.
Connecting artistic expression and sporting heritage
The donation forms part of the partnership between the FRMF and the National Foundation of Museums (FNM), which jointly oversee the management of the Moroccan Football Museum.
Through the initiative, the federation will make the artwork available to the museum, strengthening its collection and highlighting football’s cultural significance beyond the pitch.
The donation agreement was signed in the presence of FRMF Secretary-General Tarik Najem, FNM Secretary-General Lakhlifa Dahmani, and Moroccan Football Museum Director Zayd Ouakrim.
Gallery owner Myriem Himmich and artist Bouchra El Menjra also attended the signing.
Through its kinetic composition and football-inspired symbolism, the sculpture offers visitors another perspective on Morocco’s sporting identity.
Its addition reinforces the museum’s efforts to preserve the country’s football legacy while celebrating the artistic interpretations that connect sport, heritage, and national identity.
