Casablanca will host its first edition of the Open Portfolio event for emerging international artists.
Rabat – The Open Portfolio, an international platform dedicated to emerging graphic arts, is set to stage its 12th edition in Casablanca running from today at 5 p.m. until July 13, at the Sacré Coeur Cathedral.
With eleven years of experience and over 250 creators from all around the world partaking in previous editions, the Open Portfolio is renowned for being a space for promotion, visibility, and professional development for emerging artists, an initiative of the International Festival of Engraving and Paper Art of Bilbao (FIG Bilbao).
This collaboration between the Cervantes Institute of Casablanca, Casaevents, the FIG Bilbao, Bassma-Printmaking Gallery, and Casablanca’s School of Beautiful Arts will showcase the works of 16 international artists, after a previous call for applications back in June.

The chosen artworks were created using different techniques, such as woodcut, screen printing, lithography, digital printing, and more.
From exhibitions, demonstrations, and practical workshops accessible to children and adults, the event promises to be varied and entertaining for all backgrounds.
Visitors can explore a variety of techniques through hands-on experiences, while roundtable discussions will bring together artists, critics, and educators to encourage a shared reflection on the current challenges facing the discipline.
