Marrakech – The Nawruz Tour with Badieh, commencing on March 21 in Salamanca, the birthplace of Michel Gasco, is set to mesmerize audiences in Morocco.
This musical journey is part of the “Ramadan Nights” concert series initiated by the Cervantes Institute, the organizers stated in a press release shared with Morocco World News.
Scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, the tour will take place in both Casablanca and the capital city of Rabat, followed by Fez on April 3.
In Rabat, the tour is slated to take place at the National Library of Morocco.
Featuring artists Mohammad Miraghazade from Iran and Ramin Ahmadi from Afghanistan, the tour promises a transcendent experience, blending traditional Khorasani melodies with contemporary compositions.
The tour will be a showcase of the “latest compositions alongside traditional pieces,” the organizers said in their press release
According to the statement, this promises to be an evening where cultural boundaries fade away, and the universal language of music takes center stage.
Badieh emerged from an unexpected encounter between Michel Gasco, captivated by the music of the Khorasan region, and Mohammad Miraghazadeh, a skilled performer of Persian classical music, according to the press release.
Their collaboration bridges cultural divides, celebrating the rich musical heritage of a region now divided between Iran and Afghanistan.
Following their impressive debut album in 2021, the duo known as Badieh has elevated their interpretations of traditional Khorasan music to new heights, now as a trio.
