Marrakech – On Monday, Samsung showcased its newest addition to the realm of wearable smart technology, the Galaxy Ring, during the 2024 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

Although visitors were unable to test it firsthand, Samsung unveiled numerous features of the device.

As disclosed to CNBC, the Galaxy Ring will include a variety of health-tracking features, such as heart rate, respiration rate, sleep movement, and sleep start time monitoring.

A special “vitality score” function, which compiles data on physical and mental readiness to optimize productivity,  is another thing customers can anticipate.

The Samsung Health app will make it easier to access this abundance of data.

Furthermore, Samsung hinted at the potential inclusion of a contactless payment feature, enhancing the device’s versatility.

The Galaxy Ring is set to debut in three stylish colors; Ceramic Black, Platinum Silver, and Gold.

Hon Pak, head of the digital health team at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s commitment to offering diverse options, stating, “Our own customers told us, I want choice. I want the ability to have other forms of wearables to measure health.”

He further noted that some users prefer the simplicity of a ring over a smartwatch, highlighting Samsung’s dedication to meeting varied consumer preferences.

The Galaxy Ring marks yet another milestone in the company’s journey towards enhancing user experiences and promoting holistic well-being.
