Lugano — Big Ocean, South Korean first deaf  group, has returned with a powerful mini album, titled “The Greatest Battle.”

Composed of Kim Ji-seok, PJ and Lee Chan-yeon, the group entered a bold new era defined by resilience and self-empowerment.

The new eight-track project, led by double title songs “One Man Army” and “Cold Moon,” reflects the obstacles the members have faced while navigating an industry built on precision, sound and performance.

The music video for “One Man Army,” released today, is inspired by the historic Battle of Myeongnyang, when Admiral Yi Sun-sin secured a legendary victory against overwhelming forces.

According to Chan-yeon, the historic battle at the time seemed impossible to win, but its triumph stands as an enduring reminder that even against overwhelming odds, victory is possible.

“That story resonated deeply with us. It feels like a cheering song for myself. I hope listeners find strength in it too,” Chan-yeon said during a press showing held at the Showking K-pop Center.

The video’s visual echoes that spirit of defiance through sharp, commanding choreography built around tight formations that symbolize unity and resilience.

The movements are strong and grounded, with expressive upper-body gestures and integrated sign language woven seamlessly into the performance.

The lyrics are delivered in both Korean and English, reinforcing the group’s global message of perseverance and empowerment.

Together, they have crafted a multisensory performance style that allows audiences of all abilities to engage with their music.

Their growing international fanbase, known as Pado, meaning “wave” in Korean, has embraced not only their songs but also their message of inclusivity and representation.

Big Ocean will bring its latest era to international audiences next month, beginning a US tour on April 10 in Chicago before traveling to New York, Minneapolis, Washington, Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles.

The upcoming run marks another major step in expanding their global presence and amplifying their mission of accessibility and inclusion within K-pop and beyond.
