Casablanca – Moroccan-Canadian Faouzia is set to perform at Lollapalooza 2026, scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 2 in Chicago, according to the event organizers.

Her presence places her among some of the biggest names in global music, marking another step in her international journey.

While Faouzia’s participation marks a notable moment, it also builds on a growing Arab presence at the festival.

The 2024 edition marked the first appearance of Arab artists, with Eliana and Saint Levant among the performers.

Moroccan artists have also been present in other versions of Lollapalooza . In 2023, Manal Benchlikha and El Grande Toto performed at the  Paris edition, proving that Moroccan music is gradually finding its place on international stages.

This year’s Chicago lineup brings together major international names, including Charli XCX, Lorde, Olivia Dean, Tate McRae, Jennie, as well as The Smashing Pumpkins and The xx.

According to the official announcement, ticket sales began today, with a limited one-hour window offering the lowest-priced four-day passes.

Fouzia’s journey with music started early. At just 15, she won a major music competition in Canada with her song “Mes Cicatrices,” followed by another win in Nashville in 2016 and recognition at the International Songwriting Competition in 2017.

She later released her debut EP “Stripped” in 2020, marking a key step in her career.

Her international breakthrough came in 2018 through her collaboration on “Battle” with David Guetta.

She has since worked with artists such as Ninho and Galantis, expanding her presence across different scenes.

Faouzia’s participation in Lollapalooza goes beyond a single performance. It reflects a broader shift, where Moroccan and Arab artists are increasingly visible on global platforms. As these appearances multiply, they continue to open doors for more voices from the region to be heard worldwide.
